Teen Summer Reading

Spend the summer with us at Louttit Library! Enjoy our reading challenge and a variety of activities.

Art Labs with The Creative Space: 

Marbled Clay Dish: Tuesday, July 21 @2pm

Learn how to create a marbled effect with clay and take home a beautiful clay dish!

Macrame Hanging Pot: Tuesday, August 4 @2pm

Use the macrame rope tying technique to create a beautiful hanging pot!

Cooking with the RI Community Food Bank: Thursday July 30 @1pm: 

Learn cooking skills and try recipes!

Teen Trivia: Thursday, August 6 @2pm

Bring a partner or join a new team, eat snacks, and earn prizes! Featuring rounds on book covers, name that tune, and Harry Potter!

Magic Show with Russ DeSimone: Wednesday, July 22 @11am

Magician Russ DeSimone is back to delight audiences of all ages. He’ll be assisted by Presto the Rabbit, Flutter the Fish AND the audience!

LED Mini Golf with One-Up Games: Monday, July 27 @3-6pm

Come play 9-hole glow in the dark mini golf at the library!

After-Hours Escape Room: Friday, July 17 @5pm or 6:30pm

Join us for a Mr. Lemoncello's Library themed escape room! Bring a team and complete activities to solve the riddle. Recommended max of four people per team and suggested for ages 8+, families welcome. Note: Reading the book is not required to understand or to participate in the escape room.

Teens: For grades 6-12 (ages 13-17).

You are challenged to read 600 minutes (10 hours) this summer! Log your reading as you go to earn opportunities to pick from our teen treasure chest and receive tickets to enter into grand prize drawings. Additional tickets can be gained by reading varying genres, submitting book reviews, and attending library programs!
