Join us for a dinosaur-themed free play and craft session to celebrate Dinovember! Enjoy digging in our excavation site, creating wristbands, playing with your favorite dinosaurs, and more. From 4pm-4:30pm, you can even get a picture taken with a dinosaur!

B'Ladies is back to help you get your knives ready for the holidays! Sign up for a time slot, and you can get three items sharpened - including serrated knifes and pinking shears!

Program Registration Requirements:
- You will need an Ocean State Libraries Library card in good standing to register.
- Registration for this program requires a $10 refundable deposit.
- You will be able to register only after your deposit has been received. We accept cash or checks, only.
- When you come to the program your deposit will be refunded in kind. Cash deposits will be reimbursed in cash. We will hold check deposits until program day and return your uncashed check to you.
- If you do not attend this program and/or you do not call or email the library to cancel, your deposit will be considered a donation to the library and will not be refunded.
- Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance, (by 10:30am the day before.) This allows us to contact patrons on the waiting list and potentially fill the program. No exceptions will be made.
- West Greenwich taxpayers/residents have priority on the registration list and the waiting list.
Join us for an all ages pumpkin extravaganza! Drop in anytime between 4-6pm on Tuesday, October 6, for cozy snacks and crafts. Kids will enjoy painting ceramic pumpkins and making pumpkin spice slime, while adults get wrapped up in creating rustic wooden pumpkins and body scrubs. Come celebrate fall with us!

Halloween is one of America's most popular holidays - but did you know the origins of this autumnal celebration can be traced back into the shadowy past of ancient Ireland? Join lecturer Liz Hannan Kading as she delves into Halloween's ancestry deep within the mysterious harvest rituals of ancient Ireland, the transformation of Halloween from Pagan festival to Christian holy day in the Middle Ages, and the mischievous and beguiling Halloween customs carried across the sea by Irish immigrants in the 19th century. We'll explore haunting practices that originated in Ireland but remain essential to our observance of Halloween in the present day - demonstrating the enduring influence of Irish history and culture on our modern celebration of Halloween!
